Army Wives
With the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan taking thousands of men and women away from their loved ones, the Lifetime TV series “Army Wives” seems to have struck a chord with viewers, whether they are military people or the general public.
When “Army Wives” launched in June 2007, it gained the largest audience for a premiere in Lifetime’s history and continued to attract excellent viewing figures for a comparatively small cable network.
The show features the lives of four army wives and one husband and how they cope with the stress of knowing their loved ones are in danger fighting for their country overseas.
Strangely, the TV show was based on a non-fiction book by Tanya Biank, titled “Under The Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives.” Our site lists all the songs played in the background of on this very successful series....

Cast is as follows: Kim Delaney plays Claudia Joy Holden Catherine Bell plays Denise Sherwood Sally Pressman plays Roxy LeBlanc Terry Serpico plays Major Frank Sherwood Brian McNamara plays Bgdr. General Michael Holden Brigid Brannagh plays Pamela Moran Drew Fuller plays Specialist Trevor LeBlanc Wendy Davis plays Ltnt. Colonel Joan Burton and Jeremy Davidson plays Staff Sgt Chase Moran The series seems set to continue for a long run and has perhaps hit a nerve for hundreds of thousands of real life wives and husbands whose partners are serving in the armed forces. The music played on Army Wives is varied and focuses mainly on lesser-known artists but the exposure they get on the show will help them become established favorites. An Army Wives soundtrack is expected to be released in the near future.Links: Army Wives Soundtrack.com -
Do you want to find out the name of the singer of a song you heard played on an episode of Army Wives? So often we hear a great song being played in the background but we have no idea who is singing it or what the title is. Our site will list the songs played on Army Wives and we will update the titles as soon as we can after each episode. We expect an Army Wives soundtrack album to be released soon, but for now we have a list of all the songs played. Please note that sometimes when a TV show is played in a different country, for legal reasons the songs played may be different. Also when a series is released on DVD, occasionally different background music is played. Rather than the pretty awful music that was played in TV shows of the ‘80s, today’s shows play current hits, songs that could be hits, as well as golden oldies! Sometimes the action comes second best to wondering who is singing the song playing in the background. Fans are frantically searching online for titles of songs they’ve heard on their favorite shows within minutes of the shows having aired, and often while the shows are still on, using their laptops or iPhones during the commercials! Fan forums are soon buzzing with information on what song was featured at a particularly dramatic moment, or who sang the song playing as the titles came up. Sometimes heated arguments rage on the forums as viewers dispute some of the titles suggested. We hope you enjoy looking for the songs played on our site! Please pass the word around to all your friends and mention us on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and any other social networking site. For other shows check out these links. Music played on 90210
